Overview

Store Support role at The Home Depot focuses on non-sales functions to support store operations and customer satisfaction.

Position Purpose

Associates in Store Support positions are responsible for a variety of non-sales functions. This may include ensuring an outstanding customer order fulfillment experience, assisting customers in the lot or providing administrative services. Direct customer or vendor interaction is sometimes required for these positions. Whether directing customers to store departments or merchandise, answering customer questions on product order status, handling cash management or program compliance, these positions play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Individuals in these positions must work cooperatively with other Associates, vendors, carriers, and productively with little/some supervision, be detail-oriented, and have proven time management skills. They must demonstrate a high level of integrity at all times, respond to operational concerns of all associates and remain focused on store specific business objectives while supporting key operational responsibilities. Specific positions may include:
Office Associate, Order Fulfillment Associate, Lot Associate, and Customer Service Representative.

Responsibilities
  • Perform non-sales functions to support store operations and customer satisfaction, including order fulfillment, inventory support, and administrative tasks.
  • Assist customers in the store and on the lot; direct customers to departments or merchandise as needed.
  • Interact with customers and vendors about product order status and other inquiries.
  • Assist with cash management and program compliance as required.
  • Collaborate with Associates, vendors, and carriers with minimal supervision; maintain attention to detail and strong time management.
  • Contribute to achieving store objectives and operational priorities.
Qualifications
  • Strong time-management skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates integrity and the ability to handle operational concerns with discretion.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with Associates, vendors, and carriers; capable of working with little or some supervision.
  • Customer service orientation and effective communication skills.
  • Relevant experience or exposure in office, order fulfillment, lot, or customer service roles is a plus.
