General Manager – Position Overview

This job posting is for a position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee (Ice Age Management, Inc) and not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is the sole employer for all employment matters at the restaurant, including hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling. The General Manager is responsible for running a profitable restaurant and for ensuring the restaurant meets McDonald’s critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. The General Manager works with his/her leader to set the restaurant’s goals and create a plan to achieve these goals.

To meet restaurant goals, the General Manager leads a team of Department Managers, coaching and guiding them to set and achieve their own departmental goals. The General Manager may also be responsible for hiring and developing Department and Shift Managers to build the restaurant’s leadership team.

Ideal candidates should have previous General Manager experience running high‑volume locations. A background in quick‑service restaurants is strongly desired. Open availability and reliable transportation are required. The General Manager must lead by example and maintain high standards of customer service and cleanliness.
