Under the direction of the Nurse, performs sub‑professional duties including providing patient care to meet the needs of activities of daily living; operation and maintenance of equipment. Takes and records vital signs and I/Os. Assists licensed staff and physicians as directed within approved standards. Provides care to a patient population ranging from infant to geriatric, unless otherwise indicated. Works collaboratively with the health care team, is customer focused and strives to meet unit and hospital goals.

• Perform patient care activities as directed by nursing staff.
• Take and record vital signs and manage input/output documentation.
• Assist licensed staff and physicians with patient care interventions.
• Support the Multidisciplinary Treatment Team as an active member under RN supervision.
• Float to comparable nursing units as requested or needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Relevant patient care experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Good therapeutic communication skills required.
• American Heart Association BLS CPR certification required, must be obtained within 7 days of hire.
• CPI certification required within orientation period.
