Surgical Services Scheduler

Schedules all OR, Women’s Tower OR, C- sections, Endoscopy and Cath Lab cases at PMC via an automated scheduling system. Compiles data and reports for Surgical Services.

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience:
  • 1 to 2 years of surgical experience.
  • Computer skills and medical terminology experience required.
• Certifications/Registrations/Licenses:
  American Heart Association BLS CPR certification required, must be obtained within 7 days of hire.

• Experience:
  
  Scrub tech experience preferred.

• Interacts professionally with physicians, patients, families, vendors and coworkers and displays calm, supportive behavior; patient care activities are coordinated, communicated and delegated to team members appropriately.
• Schedules all cases into the automated scheduling system in a correct and timely manner.
• Assists in collecting data and completing reports as needed. Actively participates in department/facility PI activities. Works to ensure the department meets regulatory standards.
• Collaborates with Surgical Service management team to coordinate efforts to maintain staff competency.
• Completes daily charge reconciliation for Surgical Service departmental areas.
• Performs related duties as required.
