Responsibilities- Managing dynamic deployment of system resources
- Coordinating unit response to emergency/non‑emergency calls in conjunction with York County Communications Center staff
- Assisting with changes to daily schedule and filling vacant shifts
- Assisting District Chiefs with daily reporting tasks, including verifying completion of patient care reports and daily logs
- Coordinating with Assistant Chief of Fleet and Technology to manage spare unit logs, vehicle swaps, and addressing real‑time vehicle maintenance issues
- Performing related duties as required
- Education:
Associate’s degree (A.
A.) or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school, or an equivalent combination of education and experience - Experience:
At least three years full‑time experience as a 911 EMS provider or at least two years full‑time experience as a 911 dispatcher - Licensure/Certification:
- Valid South Carolina or North Carolina Driver’s License
- AHA BLS Healthcare Provider, must be obtained within 7 days of hire
- Must obtain SC EMT or EMD within one year of hire
- Nationally Registered EMT certification within one year of employment (if EMT certified) or Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) certification
- PALS or PEPP required within orientation period
- Education:
Additional training or certifications related to EMS or dispatch - Experience:
Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) certification - Licensure/Certification:
- NIMS compliant with Incident Command/Incident Management within two years (
100, 200, 300, 400, 700, 800
)
