About The Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Sustaining Engineering team. This role focuses on supporting and improving released products throughout their lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be responsible for resolving technical issues, driving cost and quality improvements, managing component obsolescence, and supporting manufacturing and field service teams. This is not an R&D role;
instead, it emphasizes maintaining product performance, reliability, and compliance post‑release.

- Provide technical support for released electrical products, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Lead efforts to resolve field issues, manufacturing challenges, and supplier‑related problems.
- Manage component obsolescence and implement redesigns or substitutions as needed.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives through design optimization, alternate sourcing, and process improvements.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and service to ensure product reliability and performance.
- Maintain and update documentation such as schematics, BOMs, and test procedures.
- Support regulatory compliance and product certifications through engineering changes and documentation.
- Participate in sustaining engineering reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum of 7+ years of industry experience in electrical engineering; at least 2 years within additive or advanced manufacturing systems.
- Strong proficiency in electrical CAD and simulation tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, OrCAD, SPICE).
- Solid knowledge of embedded systems, microcontrollers, motion control, and power electronics.
- Experience working with PLCs, industrial communication protocols (e.g., CAN, Ether
CAT), and sensor integration. - Familiarity with thermal management, high‑current system design, and best practices for EMI/EMC mitigation.
- Thorough understanding of regulatory compliance, safety standards, and industrial equipment certifications.
- Exceptional problem‑solving abilities, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated success in leading projects and working in a fast‑paced, collaborative R&D environment.
