Summary:

The driver / warehouse position is responsible for maintaining a professional appearance and knowledge of materials delivered to the customer.  Most deliveries are completed via a 26' Box Truck with Liftgate and in a residential setting. The driver / warehouse employee will safely drive and handle all materials in accordance to the company standards of service. This position is also responsible for various duties related to the handling of materials in the warehouse.

This position receives, stores and distributes material, equipment and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.  Day to day responsibilities will vary depending on customer order volume and inbound material shipments.

Warehouse Manager or Operations Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Valid Driver's License and a clean driving history.  A CDL endorsement is not required

+ Authorization to work in the United States

+ Forklift experience

+ Ability to lift boxes/materials up to 60lbs on a regular basis

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office (primarily Word and Excel)

Experience with warehouse management systems

+ Experience shipping product via UPS, Fedex Freight and other common carriers

+ Order Fulfillment/Order Checking

+ Inventory management and organization

+ Ability to do basic mental math

Working Conditions:

Warehouse environment and outdoor conditions including extreme hot/cold temperatures.  Our warehouse is climate controlled, temperature is generally between 55-75 degrees. Deliveries in all weather conditions including during extreme hot/cold, rain and other seasonal conditions. Jobsite conditions will vary

Essential Job Functions:

+ Deliver company materials to customers in a professional manner

+ Communicate with customers on jobsites about ETA's and shipment discrepancies

+ Communicate any vehicle mechanical problems to direct supervisor

+ Perform daily inspection and maintenance on company vehicle

+ Drive, automatic transmission vehicle (safely & legally, driving violations may jeopardize your position as a driver)

+ Shipping and receiving duties; including loading and unloading trucks

+ Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders to determine items to picked, packed, distributed or shipped/transferred

+ Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.

+ Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence

+ Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department

+ Use computer and RF guns to manage sales orders, inventory and enter information into business management system

+ Participate in cycle counting of physical inventory

+ Open boxes and other containers

+ Operate forklift in warehouse setting

+ Sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times

+ Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic

+ Assist customers at will call and walk-ins as required

Compensation Range:

The compensation range for this position is $20 to $22 hourly.
