The Shuttle Driver/Tour guide is responsible for following safety protocol, schedules and pre-determined routes. The driver will also act as the tour guide throughout the trip. The vehicle used is open‑air, treads a trailer through narrow roadways, holds 62 passengers, is electric, and runs off batteries.

• Exceptional attendance and punctuality
• Accurately complete vehicle safety checks and escalate any issues
• Compliance with all traffic laws, federal and state transit regulations
• Interact with customers, central dispatch team, and managers in a professional manner
• Provide excellent customer service and support to all riders, answering questions about schedules, routes, transfer points, and delays
• Promptly report vehicle maintenance, road and route concerns, accidents, and other traffic disruptions using two‑way radios or hands‑free devices

• Plug and charge the vehicle at end of day

• Use route navigation apps and have knowledge of the area for pick‑ups and drop‑offs
• Maintain electronic logs to track routes and incidents
• Operate and drive without a break for a minimum period of one hour and forty‑five minutes
• Drive in fluctuating weather and terrain
• Work flexible schedule outside of regular days and shifts
• Comfortable with split shift schedule
• Lift 45 pounds or more to assist with loading and unloading ADA passengers
• Additional skills and physical demands may apply

• Commercial driver’s license (A or
  
  B)
• Airbrake endorsement
• Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and background check
• High School Diploma/GED (preferred)
• At least 1 year of driving experience (preferred)
