Furniture Delivery Assistant

Overview

Furniture Delivery Assistant position at Raymour & Flanigan Furniture and Mattresses. The role involves delivering and assembling furniture in customers' homes, providing a high level of customer service, and maintaining safe, efficient operations. The position may require passing a DOT physical for driving duties.

• Learn and develop skills to assemble furniture in customers  homes and perform minor touch up and furniture repair.
• Inspect, wrap, pack, and load furniture.
• Make good decisions with minimal supervision.
• Maintain excellent listening skills and ability to work as a team.
• Perform additional functions as assigned by management.

• Two years of delivery experience.
• Work safely in a customer-focused, fast-paced environment.
• Must be available to work weekends and evenings.
• Comfortable reading maps and operating GPS units.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Must have a valid driver s license.
• Must pass MVR investigation and all DOT pre-employment criteria.
• Ability to assess truck volume to determine cubic capacity.
• Experience driving 24-26 ft straight/box trucks.

• Ability to lift/move furniture, bedding and accessories in excess of 100 lbs.
• Continuously lift, lower, push, and pull furniture up to and beyond 100 lbs.
• Deliver furniture in various outdoor weather conditions.
