Job Summary
We are seeking an Aquatics Coordinator to help lead our aquatics programs, ensuring safety, efficiency, and exceptional service for all members. In this role, you’ll assist in managing staff, enhancing program operations, and fostering a positive and welcoming aquatic environment.
Responsibilities- Oversee and schedule lifeguards, ensuring consistent safety, staffing, and operational standards.
- Teach 10–15 hours of aquatic classes weekly, catering to diverse participant needs.
- Conduct regular pool maintenance and monitor water chemistry, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Supervise aquatic facilities to maintain cleanliness, safety, and proper usage while addressing potential issues proactively.
- Support lifeguarding duties as needed to ensure uninterrupted coverage.
- Evaluate and develop programming to meet community needs, including new offerings and special events.
- Manage inventory and supplies to ensure availability of essential equipment and resources.
- Collaborate with Aquatics Managers to address operational concerns and uphold quality standards.
- Practice good judgment while working with the Aquatics leadership team in organizing and maintaining a safe and effective aquatic environment with respect to leading part-time aquatic staff in their roles.
- Assist in achieving departmental goals and other assigned tasks to support the aquatics program's success.
- Degree in a related field or equivalent experience, preferred
- Current certifications in Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, and First Aid
- Strong customer service skills and experience building relationships with diverse populations
- Knowledge of pool operations, including maintenance, water chemistry, and safety protocols
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Per pay transparency requirements, the compensation for this position ranges from $24.00/hour to $26.00/hour. Minimum rates may vary based on local wage laws. Pay is dependent on factors including site location, specialty, certifications and work experience as well as other business needs.
