Social Worker; Fellowship Pipeline or Already Licensed

Overview

The U.S. Navy is seeking new grad Social Workers (complete your fellowship with us!) or fully licensed Social Workers.

Social Work Fellowship :

• Up to $204,000 while finishing your fellowship! Graduate of social work accredited school by the Council of Social Work Education must pass the independent practice level clinical social work licensure exam prior to completion of their fellowship and obtain unrestricted licensure to practice.
• Monthly salary and allowances from $5,450 to $8,500 for up to 24 months of your program (housing allowance may vary depending upon location).

You may be eligible for the Critically Short Wartime Accession Bonus ($18,750 for a 3-year contract or $30,000 for a 4-year contract!).

Once fully licensed you will have the ability to transfer to numerous other locations:

• Guam
• Many other locations available!

As commissioned officers and licensed clinicians, Navy Social Workers serve in military treatment facilities, operational units, and deployable settings across the fleet and Marine Corps. They deliver individual, family, and group counseling; provide crisis intervention for trauma, deployment stress, and life transitions; and lead preventive education and resilience-building programs. Through clinical care, case management, and advocacy, Navy Social Workers play a vital role in supporting service members and their families, ensuring mental health remains a mission-ready priority at home and abroad.

💵 Earn competitive pay after your commissioning. With steady increases each year and additional raises every other year. Guaranteed promotions during the first 4 years, typically every 2 years, with an average monthly increase of $1,000.

• Direct Assess: 2 years full time post master’s degree, supervised clinical social work experience and must possess an active, unrestricted, independent clinical social work practice license.
