Community Investments and Partnerships Regional Lead - Rochester Region

Job Description

The Community Investments and Partnerships (CIP) Regional Lead is responsible for developing, recommending, executing, and overseeing regional CIP strategy, with matrix accountability to regional executive leadership. This individual leads the collaborative selection and execution of all regional community investments; ensures alignment with CIP policy and processes, enterprise CIP strategy, and all applicable requirements and regulations. The incumbent supports strategy‑aligned employee community engagement;

coordinates enterprise community touchpoints within their region; and facilitates high value, strategy‑aligned company relationships with key community partners.

• Develops and maintains comprehensive expertise in enterprise strategies and priorities that align to community investments and partnerships (CIP), including but not limited to quality metric improvement; health equity; sales growth; and identified CIP strategy focus areas. Liaison to the regional community to increase visibility, gain trust, and foster sustainable long‑term relationships, to strengthen the health plan mission & vision.
• Responsible for developing and nurturing relationships with governmental officials, community‑based organization leaders, brokers, and the provider community for the purpose of capturing appropriate segment audiences. Leverages and strengthens brand message and awareness.
• Foster robust and effective partnerships with community‑based organizations, faith organizations, local governmental agencies, and key groups for the purpose of addressing social determinants that affect the health and wellbeing of members and communities.
• Liaison to the regional community to increase visibility, gain trust, and foster sustainable long‑term relationships, to strengthen the health plan mission & vision.

• With the guidance of regional leadership, develops and maintains proactive regional community investment strategy to drive and achieve enterprise and regional goals.
• Builds positive, collaborative relationships with internal and external CIP strategy stakeholders.

• Develops and manages regional CIP budgets, as well as CIP reporting, analytics, program evaluations, and other key initiatives.
• Proactively identifies and develops regional opportunities to invest in programs that support regional and enterprise strategy, and that build partnerships with organizations that share our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Leverages data and analytics, and considers social determinants of health, to identify innovative community investments and partnerships.
• Manages grant timelines, budgets, completes project status reports, facilitates team meetings, and tracks progress through grant activity completion.
• Creates opportunities for regular and robust dialogue with community partners, including shared visioning, priority, and goal settings, including CBO topical summits on subpopulation needs/targeted health disparities.
• Ensures regular meetings of a CIP policy‑aligned investment review committee and leads the evaluation of regional requests for event sponsor ships and program support.
• Ensures alignment of all regional investments to CIP policy and processes, LTHC governing board independence requirements, Blue Cross Blue Shield Association brand regulations, and enterprise CIP strategy.
