Join our dedicated team at Veterans Outreach Center, Inc. in Rochester, NY, as a Full-Time Residential Services Case Manager! This onsite position offers the unique opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of veterans and their families. You'll engage directly with clients, providing personalized support and solutions in a collaborative environment. This role works Monday-Friday 3pm-11pm.

does a Residential Services Case Manager do?

As a Residential Services Case Manager at Veterans Outreach Center, Inc., you will play a pivotal role in supporting male veterans within our residential housing program. In this position, you will provide comprehensive case management and personalized support to help clients navigate their unique challenges. Your responsibilities will include developing tailored treatment plans, connecting veterans with vital resources, and promoting their overall well-being.

By fostering a respectful and empathetic environment, you'll empower veterans to achieve their goals and reintegrate successfully into the community.

Would you be a great Residential Services Case Manager?

To thrive as a Residential Services Case Manager at Veterans Outreach Center, Inc., certain essential skills and qualifications are necessary. You should possess a minimum of one year of case management experience in a residential facility or similar setting, complemented by at least a high school diploma or equivalent. Having a Certified Alcohol Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) or CASAC-T credential, or a willingness to obtain one, is preferred.

Additionally, a strong knowledge of veterans' issues and their unique needs is highly valued; being a veteran yourself can significantly enhance your effectiveness in this role. Strong communication, problem-solving abilities, and a compassionate demeanor are crucial as you work closely with clients in a client-focused, team-oriented environment.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • Minimum one year of case management experience in a residential facility or other relevant work experience, along with at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prefer Certified Alcohol Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) OR CASAC-T credential, or willing to obtain.
  • A veteran or a person with solid knowledge of veterans' issues and special needs strongly preferred.
