• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers
• Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics
• Performing preventative maintenance repairs, including tire replacement/rotation, lubrication and replacement of components, some electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engine vehicles
• Partnering with your manager to learn new skills using Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching
• Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license
• Problem-solving ability and comfort using tools
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work well as part of a team and outdoors
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to understand and comply with Penske instructions, guidelines, rules and regulations
• Ability to perform work adhering to DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety policies; including proper tool, PPE use and safety practices
• Regular, predictable attendance
• Must meet DOT requirements for driving Penske and customer vehicles; includes MVR check, DOT Physical, and Safety History records; CDL holders will have DOT Drug Screening per FMCSA Clearinghouse
• Willingness to work the required schedule, location, complete application and background checks, pass drug screen and DOT physical, and potential travel within a near geography for training
• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive
