Mission
The Diesel Technician keeps the operation moving by maintaining and repairing heavy‑duty trucks and equipment that serve our communities every day. This role ensures every vehicle leaving the shop is safe, reliable, and mission‑ready — enabling our drivers to perform essential work without interruption.
Technicians are trusted tradespeople and teammates — not parts changers. You ensure reliability, protect safety, and represent the standard of excellence our community depends on.
Second (11am) or Third Shift (11pm), 10.5 hours a day, Monday - Friday.
$30/hour = Strong, reliable technician still growing toward mastery.
$40/hour = Master‑level problem solver who leads by example, trains peers, and enhances total fleet performance.
Performance Objectives (What Success Looks Like)- Maintain Fleet Readiness: Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled inspections to minimize downtime and maximize fleet uptime.
- Diagnose & Repair: Identify and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues across a diverse fleet of heavy‑duty trucks.
- Ensure Safety & Compliance: Guarantee all repairs meet DOT, OSHA, and internal safety standards.
- Contribute to Team Efficiency: Support teammates by sharing workload, communicating clearly, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
- Develop Professionally: Participate in Career Pathways Program — growing toward Technician A or Master status through training and mentorship.

- Conduct preventive maintenance and repair of heavy‑duty trucks and related equipment.
- Diagnose and correct mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues with precision.
- Utilize diagnostic software and testing equipment to identify root causes.
- Document all maintenance and repair activities in Transman software.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and uphold safety procedures.
- Support teammates and help sustain the shop’s collaborative, performance‑driven culture.
This shop is defined by teamwork, ownership, and trust. The manager leads from the floor — shoulder‑to‑shoulder with the crew, ensuring nobody faces a job alone. Every tech is respected as a professional, and culture fit matters as much as skill fit.
The result: 21 technicians, 12 bays, and zero drama. No egos, no shortcuts — just people who care about safety, reliability, and performance.
Requirements- Must have served in the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Space Force, U.S. Reserves, or U.S. National Guard.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 18 years of age or older.
- Valid CDL Class B with air brake endorsement (or ability to obtain).
- 1–3 years of heavy‑duty vehicle experience for B‑level; 5+ years for A‑level.
- Equivalent military background (Army 91B/H, USMC 3521, Navy CM/EN, or similar) highly valued.
- Must be physically capable of lifting heavy components, climbing, crouching, and standing for long periods.
