Airport Screener- NYS Guard

Join VMD Corp, part of Xcelerate Solutions, a leader in providing passenger and checked baggage screening services at various airports across the United States. We have an immediate need for a Part-Time Airport Employee Screener with an active NYS Security Guard License.

What you will do:

Grow in a fulfilling career as an Airport Employee Screener working alongside a team of aviation security professionals. Use your customer service and critical-thinking skills to identify and prevent unsafe objects from exiting the airport.

Responsibilities include:

• Conduct thorough and efficient screening of airport employees entering restricted areas.
• Verify the identity and credentials of employees using established procedures.
• Operate screening equipment, such as metal detectors, to detect prohibited items.
• Enforce security regulations and policies professionally and courteously.
• Monitor employee behavior and report suspicious activities or violations.
• Collaborate with airport authorities and law enforcement on security concerns.
• Provide clear instructions to employees regarding the screening process.
• Conduct property searches as part of security measures.
• Respond promptly to alarms or alerts from screening equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of screening activities and incidents.

What we offer:

• Hourly Wage: $17.00
• Training:
  No prior experience necessary; on-the-job training provided.

• Requirements include being a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National, holding an active NYS Security Guard License, flexibility to work any shift including weekends and holidays, and the ability to pass a background check.
• Preferred experience in security or screening, excellent observational skills, and the ability to handle high-stress situations calmly are desirable.
