Overview

Territory Manager, Medical Dermatology - Upstate, NY

The Sun Medical Dermatology Territory Manager is responsible for promoting Sun’s branded dermatology portfolio and optimizing the business opportunities in targeted physician offices, key clinics and institutions that specialize in medical dermatology. The Territory Manager will be required to demonstrate excellence in developing and implementing territory business plans that lead to achievement of sales goals and objectives. Responsibilities include coordination and integration with the HQ Commercial Team (Marketing, etc.)

and field based employees (Field Reimbursement Managers, etc.) to effectively drive acceptance of promoted products within a designated business area and geography.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement territory business plans to achieve sales goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate with HQ Commercial Team (Marketing, etc.) and field-based staff to drive product acceptance.
  • Promote Sun’s branded dermatology portfolio in targeted physician offices, clinics and institutions specializing in medical dermatology.
  • Manage promotional activities and leverage CRM, sales data, and reports to inform strategy.
  • Ensure timely call reporting and expense reporting; manage promotional budgets within the territory.
  • Report directly to the Regional Sales Manager and operate within governance policies.
Required
  • Bachelor Degree
  • Pharmaceutical and/or Medical Device sales experience
  • Strong communication skills and business acumen
  • Ability to collaborate, innovate, adapt and deliver results
  • Valid driver’s license
Preferred
  • 5+ years pharmaceutical sales experience
  • 3+ years medical dermatology sales experience
  • Experience selling products in a complex Market Access environment
  • Experience promoting high-science products
  • Product launch experience
  • Experience selling in a highly competitive environment

General Responsibilities/Decision Making Authority
  • Reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager
  • Responsible for the understanding and leveraging CRM, sales data, and reports
  • Responsible for timely call reporting and expense reporting
  • Responsible for managing promotional budgets within their territory
  • Responsible for meeting monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to Regional Sales Manager

INTERACTIONS WITH OTHERS: Interacts at multiple levels inside and outside the company. Tact, diplomacy, and a high level of professionalism are essential.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated base compensation pay range for this position is $117,500 to $136,000. Actual base compensation may vary based on location and experience. In addition, this position is part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan. Employees are eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs including medical, dental and vision coverage; life insurance; disability insurance; 401(k) savings plan; flexible spending accounts;

and the employee assistance program. Paid time off includes vacation and sick time. Compensation and benefits are subject to plan terms and company policies. Employees may be in an at-will position and the company reserves the right to modify compensation and programs.
