Overview
OBJECTIVE:
Achieve sales goals in SaaS, Software, Hardware, and Training. Products include Point Of Sale (and related modules), online payment services, Menu Planning, Communication, Inventory (and related modules) as primary focus. Target clients are school districts with 6 buildings or more.
Description:
Objective and related sales focus as listed above.
- Generate, qualify, process and work leads through all lead-generation activities.
- Participation in National, State or Regional shows as requested.
- “Cold calling” and other lead-generation activities.
- Product demonstrations performed online and in person as needed.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regional Food Service Management Companies.
- Develop a territory plan with target accounts and activity, showing strategic focus areas and development of new product cross-selling opportunities.
- Assist when necessary in client install, deployments and training.
- Become familiar with industry practices and procedures of the K-12 School Food Service Industry including the USDA School Meals Initiative (SMI) and Child Nutrition Program.
- Maintain prospect account data in Salesforce in a timely fashion.
- Maintain forecasting in Salesforce.
- Become familiar with and use ALL types of business applications used, including but not limited to:
Salesforce, Slack, Google Workplace Apps, Microsoft 365, Outreach, Gong, Zoom, Teams, etc. - Monitor expenses by adhering to Employee Manual expense guidelines.
- In addition to the above specific attributes, the ideal candidate will have:
- Proficient written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently make web presentations to food service personnel and board level senior executives.
- Ability to influence decisions and behaviors.
- Ability to make decisions based on research and analysis; aptitude for numbers, writing, editing and proofreading; understanding of the company’s products, services and their applications to customers.
- Efficient problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to details, timelines and metrics.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
- Three to four years of related Sales experience and/or training.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Language Ability: Ability to effectively present and communicate information and respond to questions from groups of managers, colleagues and customers.
- Math Ability: Work with general mathematical concepts including probability, statistical inference, forecasting and logistics. Compute rate, ratio and percent and interpret graphs.
- Reasoning Ability: Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization. Interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Troubleshoot technical problems and know when to seek additional resources.

Compensation$90,000 + Commission. The above represents the expected base salary range for this job requisition. Base pay is determined by location, experience, and other factors. The compensation model also allows for additional commission, which may offset wage advancements. A first-year professional may expect an average of $30,000 in commission compensation in the form of uncapped commissions.
