Salary: $80,000.00 USD Annually - $85,000.00 USD Annually
Description: Our client is currently seeking a District Manager for their Fuel/Convenience Store operations. The District Manager is responsible for all profitability and operational practices of all stores in their area. They need to ensure the stores run smoothly and meet minimum standards as put forth by the Company. The District Manager oversees 10 to 12 stores under them and would support all fuel and retail operations.
This position will work hand in hand with the Store managers to make sure customer experience is maximized. The hiring manager would like someone with preferably 5 years of retail fuel experience as a district manager managing fuel and convenience store operations. This position comes with car reimbursement/company car, credit card for gas that is for both work and personal use, health insurance is 100% paid for by the company (premiums and deductibles), 3% 401k match, and 2 weeks vacation to start.
Responsibilities
- Interview, recruit, hire and train employees. Motivate location managers and discipline when necessary.
- Review individual locations to make sure they are stocked, clean and in full working order.
- Create and maintain budgets and all other required administrative responsibilities.
- Ensure all company policies, directives, procedures, memorandums and merchandising programs are executed.
- Supervise store employees and ensure vendors are also following procedure.
- Assure full compliance with corporate safety directives at retail locations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelors Degree is preferred but not required
- 3-5 years of District Manager in retail experience preferred
- Must be a strong leader so as to keep employees motivated, resolve conflict and make difficult decisions.
- Strong communication skills, analytical skills, work ethic and decision-making ability.
- Technical, math and budgeting skills.
- Problem solving common issues that arise during a typical work day.
- Must be collaborative and work well with a team
- Must be under an hour drive to all stores within the district.
