Part Time Merchandiser - Rochester, NY

Job Description

American Greetings is a global leader in the celebrations marketplace. We are looking for merchandisers to showcase our products across various retail locations in Rochester, NY.

• The starting pay is $16.20 per hour, with increases to $17.10 after 6 months and $18.00 after 1 year.

This route will service the following retail location: 525 Titus Ave, Rochester, NY 14617.

Weekly hours: approximately 5 hours per week, with the possibility of up to 8 hours around holidays.

• Service assigned stores, merchandising and organizing product orders, displaying items within greeting card departments and other retail locations.
• Maintain organized backroom areas and complete inventory tasks as needed.
• Communicate with store management regarding service or schedule questions.
• Work in a fast‑paced retail environment with effective time management and build relationships with store associates.
• Availability for additional working days and extended hours around major holidays.
• Provide occasional assistance with store resets (fixture work, product assembly, relocation).
• Plan weekly service schedule and workload using a company‑issued tablet.
• Work independently and as part of a team.

No experience necessary; training provided.

• 18 years or older.
• English proficiency (speak, read, write, and understand).
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Reliable transportation (most routes have multiple locations).
• Reliable internet for receiving job information and updates.
• Technological competency; able to use company‑provided tablet for training and daily tasks.
• Can meet scheduling needs—occasional weekends, and days before/after major holidays (Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas).

Work on sales floor and back stockroom, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying up to 40 lbs, standing, walking, stooping, and squatting throughout the day. A step stool may be used for some tasks.
