Function of Position:
Assist the staff in the daily operations of The MCC Bookstore. This is a Federal Work Study position. Eligible applicants MUST have received prior approval from the Financial Aid Office. If you are unsure of your eligibility, please contact Financial Aid before applying.

• Performs general cashiering responsibilities accurately and efficiently
• Greets and assists customers as they enter, browse, and exit the store
• Monitors inventory, stocks shelves, and cleans where needed
• Assists with receiving, pricing, and stocking incoming merchandise
• Assists with stocking coolers, general cleaning responsibilities, and other duties as assigned
• Assists with merchandising products and creating displays and signs
• Assists with processing web orders
• Provides additional assistance during special events/busy times including, but not limited to, the first week of classes and buyback
• Remain knowledgeable about current sales or applicable discounts, and assist customers accordingly
• Work as a team to provide an excellent customer experience

• Applicants must be Federal Work Study eligible (you can confirm your eligibility with a Financial Aid representative)
• Highly self-motivated, disciplined, enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.

• Basic understanding of a retail environment.
• Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.
• Bilingual and able to read, write, and speak Spanish, or other languages, proficiently

• Pay Rate: $15.50/hour
