Experts of store process and efficiency who enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is set, in-stock, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise areas of the store. This team conducts inventory accuracy, merchandise set-up and maintenance and pricing processes for all areas of the store.

Experts enable efficient delivery to our guests by supporting pick, pack and ship fulfillment work.

• Knowledge of guest service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest first culture across the store
• Experience in retail business fundamentals including: department sales trends, inventory replenishment, and process efficiency and improvement
• Experience executing daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks.
• Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs when assistance is requested.
• Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target.
• Perform tasks assigned by your leader to support goals aligned with business priorities, including receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, arranging merchandise, and putting up promotional signs for GM areas.
• Operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures if certified.
• Execute processes such as price changes, merchandise set-up and maintenance, and inventory accuracy as directed by leadership.
• Learn how operational procedures affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability.
• Be knowledgeable about resources, products, and services available in the total store and in your area to solve issues and improve guest experience.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes (picking/packing orders, delivering pickup orders) while complying with applicable laws.
• All other duties based on business needs.

• You are open to a flexible schedule with varying hours or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays).

• Ability to work independently and with a team, resolve guest questions quickly, and follow multi-step processes with attention to detail.
• Remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established time frames.

• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
• Climb ladders when required.
• Move merchandise safely, including frequently lifting up to 44 pounds without assistance.
• Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays) and reliable attendance.
• Work in varying temperatures and conditions, including Drive-Up and carryout duties.
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a shift (shift length may vary).
