Overview

GM and Food (General Merchandise, Closing, Fulfillment, Inbound, Food and Beverage) role eral Merchandise Experts enable a consistent store experience by ensuring product is set, in-stock, accurately priced and signed; support inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing; conduct inventory accuracy, merchandise set-up, maintenance, and pricing; and support pick, pack, and ship fulfillment for guest needs.

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks.
• Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs and thank them for shopping at Target.
• Receive products, restock shelves, organize backrooms, arrange merchandise, and put up promotional signs for GM areas.
• Operate power equipment if certified; change prices, manage product setup and maintenance, and ensure inventory accuracy as directed.
• Learn how operational procedures affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability.
• Be knowledgeable about store resources, products, and services to solve guest issues and improve their experience.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as backup cashier and digital fulfillment processes (picking/packing orders, delivering pickup orders) while complying with applicable laws.
• Perform other duties as needed based on business needs.

• Open to flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times.
• Willingness to learn and participate in training to become a General Merchandise Expert.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to follow multi-step processes; capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to handle cash operations as needed; climb ladders; move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 44 pounds; adapt to varying temperatures and conditions; remain mobile for shift duration.
