Compensation: $18.75 – $25.44 per hour (based on collective bargaining agreement)

Job Summary: Responsible for assembling, serving, and collecting patient meals, maintaining sanitation, and following food safety practices at all times.
Responsibilities- Assemble and deliver patient trays for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, ensuring proper temperature retention.
- Adjust trays according to prescribed diets and patient preferences, serving as a representative of the hospital.
- Pass all nourishments, water pitchers, tube feedings, infant formulas, and patient‑specific menus.
- Assist patient menu selection on the telephone or at bedside, and submit completed menu selections.
- Collect and submit all soiled meal trays, move soiled carts to the elevator area.
- Record intake of food and liquid for each patient.
- Maintain floor stock by completing daily inventory and replenishing blue orders.
- Supply late trays and substitute selections, consulting with dietitians as needed.
- Perform assigned cleaning duties (microwaves, freezers, refrigerators, galley surfaces).
- Verify food temperature with a thermometer when microwaving trays.
- Assemble trays on the tray line for meal service and assist with limited food preparation and portioning.
High school diploma or equivalent, with experience in a service environment; demonstrated ability to work independently and proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
