SummaryMix and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks for patrons of bar and restaurant by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.- Perform opening and closing side work per checklists.
- Greet customers, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding drinks and menu items.
- Take drink orders from customers or Servers. Prepare cocktails in accordance with standard beverage recipes.
- Take food orders from guests and submit to kitchen for preparation.
- Properly record all sales transactions and secure accurate payment.
- Wash glassware as needed.
- Familiarize and be knowledgeable of current food and beverage offerings, including wine lists and cocktail menu.
- Provide current information pertaining to hours and available services of the hotel and surrounding areas.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the Lounge and surrounding areas.
- Assist in checking all fixtures, equipment and conditions (lights, heating/cooling, furniture, wallpaper, etc.) for proper operation, settings and maintenance. Report deficiencies.

Education and/or Experience
Three to six months related experience and/or training;
One year certificate from college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other associates of the organization. Ability to communicate with others in a clear and professional manner.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
