RA/postdoc position open! We value interdisciplinary backgrounds—applicants from biology, medicine, physics, engineering, or computational sciences are encouraged. Prior experience in quantitative biology (q-bio) is a bonus, but not required.

• Research Focus:
  The Lab for Cell Dynamics (LCD) at Academia Sinica explores the biological functions of large-scale cell death during embryonic development, integrating advanced quantitative and imaging techniques. Our recent work (PMID: ) reveals how developmental signals prime cells for death and how this process might influence aging. We invite passionate junior scientists to join our team to investigate:
• How developmental cues orchestrate cell death during development.
• The potential link between developmental death signaling and the aging process.

• Who we are looking for:
  We welcome candidates of all academic levels (B.Sc., M.Sc., or Ph.D.) who are:
  Highly motivated to tackle meaningful, open biological questions.
• Interested in state-of-the-art imaging techniques (e.g., multiphoton, in vivo imaging).
• Open to using or learning AI-based computation, image analysis, and mathematical modeling.

• Compensation:
  Based on Academia Sinica’s standards, with adjustments based on qualifications and experience (approx. NTD 38388/mo for a Bachelor’s, NTD 44968 for a Master’s, and USD 64,711 for PhD).
• Welfare:
  We support growth through weekly lab meetings, journal clubs, presentation coaching, brainstorming sessions, TGIF hangouts, birthday celebrations, and annual lab retreats. English is the working language.
