Quality Assurance Supervisor

Responsible to ensure the quality of products and services meet regulatory, customer, and company policy standards by utilizing and applying quality and food safety systems. Under the direction of the QA manager, provide leadership and support in directing the quality culture within the company.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

• Manage Quality Technicians to ensure conformity to customer, company, and regulatory standards, while maintaining high productivity and technical integrity
• Maintain employee work schedules including timecard approval, work assignments, job rotation, training, vacations, and paid time off
• Coach, mentor, and develop staff; including preparing and conducting employee performance appraisals and issuing discipline as needed
• Participate in internal audits and support corrective action identification and implementation.
• Fill in for Quality Technicians as needed
• Retrieve case samples from QC lab for analysis, customers, and holds
• Perform incubation sample inspections

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• High School diploma required, associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred in Food Science/Technology or related scientific discipline
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience preferably in a Food and Beverage manufacturing environment
• 2+ years supervisory or related experience
• Demonstrated experience developing policies and procedures, including quality measurements, root cause analysis and problem resolution
