School Nurse RN; RCSD - Summer Program

This is for a Summer Work position and is not considered a BOCES ESY position.

Timeframe varies with each assignment. Full Time, Part Time, and Substitute positions available.

• School Nurses for Summer Work Program
• Sports Recertification:
  Between 4-6 hour sessions available in August
• CSE Committee preparation

$32.33 – $52.43 per hour (or higher pending contract negotiations) or your 2026-27 rate in this title for current Monroe One Boces staff

• Actual Salary Is Dependent Upon Education, Experience, and Contract.

• Monitor physical status of children regarding chronic diseases (i.e., epilepsy, diabetes) in addition to other disabilities (i.e., developmental, emotional).
• Dispense and monitor medications and treatments.
• Consult with staff regarding medical and developmental status of children.
• Liaison with physicians, community agencies, parents, students, and staff.
• Develop IHCPs and Emergency Plans as needed.
• Provide First Aid to students and staff.
• Prepare information for CSE meetings.
• Recertify students for participation in sports.
• Ability to run to emergencies and perform CPR.

• Civil Service eligibility as a School Nurse:
• Graduation from a regionally accredited NYS Registered School of Nursing.
• Possession of a NYS License as a Registered Nurse.
• Current license and registration to practice nursing in NYS.
• CPR/AED Certified.
• Prior school nursing, pediatric nursing experience desirable.
• Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation), which may or may not include responding to emergency situations quickly (which may require running up/downstairs or running to sports field areas).
