Night 3x12-Hour (19::00) and Day 3x12-Hour (07::00) rotations required.

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Med-Surg/Tele Nurse with a valid New York license for a high-volume unit specializing in the care of CHF patients, acute MIs, post-device care, and managing patients with arrhythmias. The nurse will also care for general surgery patients including those undergoing colon rectal, ostomy, plastic, and cosmetic procedures. This position requires the ability to float between units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7

• Provide care and treatment for a wide range of medical-surgical patients

• Utilize EPIC charting for documentation and patient management

• Administer medications and monitor patient progress

• Participate in rapid response and code teams as required

• Implement infection control and safety protocols

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year experience in Med-Surg/Tele nursing

• Current New York nursing license must be in hand

• BLS certification is required

• Experience with EPIC charting is essential

• First-time travelers are welcome; locals are not accepted (must reside more than 75 miles from the facility)
