This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12.0 - Monday to Friday day shifts, with on-call responsibilities until 11 PM. No weekends or holidays required.

Job Description

The RNFA is a highly trained Registered Nurse who collaborates with the surgeon and healthcare team to ensure safe operations with optimal outcomes for patients. This role requires proficiency in perioperative nursing and RNFA practices, including both scrubbing and circulating when not assigned to the RNFA role.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the surgical team to perform operations safely.
• Practice in a collaborative environment under the direction of the surgeon.
• Perform duties of OR staff RN as needed.
• Utilize knowledge, skills, and judgment specific to the operating room environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current NYS RN License as a Registered Professional Nurse.
• Completion of an accredited RN First Assistant course.
• CNOR Certification required.
• Two years of experience in operating room settings; experience in a level 1 trauma center preferred.
• Davinci robotic surgery experience required (Urology, GYN, Colorectal, Surgical Oncology, Thoracic, General Surgery).
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY). ACLS preferred.
