Role

Specifics and Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs and response to treatment.
  • Manage IV therapy as ordered and participate in rapid escalation when deterioration is detected.
  • Document carefully to maintain continuity of care across teams.
  • Collaborate with physicians, case managers, social workers, and discharge planners to coordinate timely discharges or admissions, ensuring patients spend the minimum necessary time under observation while preserving safety and comfort.
  • Mentor junior staff and share evidence‑based best practices.
