Experienced Registered Nurse II - Acute Medical Oncology

Provides professional nursing services for patients and their families and within the nursing department. Collaborates with other health care providers and team members to achieve expected patient outcomes and improve the care environment. Nurses use the nursing process and evidence-based practice to coordinate and provide direct care and services that support care.

• Use the nursing process with evidence-based practice to provide direct patient care.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to achieve patient outcomes.
• Assume expanded unit roles as assigned by the Nurse Manager, serving as a charge nurse or preceptor when available.
• Provide support to peers in delivering patient care, use appropriate team communication methods, and practice care reflecting patient conditions and priorities.
• Assist in team problem solving and contribute to a safe unit environment and operations.
• Identify opportunities for self-growth and contribute to the development of other learners.

• Minimum 6 months RN expertise in an acute care setting.
• BS in Nursing preferred.
• Licensed by New York State as a Registered Nurse.
• Current CPR certification (American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers preferred).

Pay range: $37.95/hr - $50.15/hr
