Job OverviewESO Consultant is urgently seeking experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurses (ER RNs) for a 13-week travel assignment at Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic. This role requires a New York RN license (in hand) and strong clinical expertise in emergency care for both adult and pediatric patients. The ideal candidates will be skilled in handling trauma, psychiatric emergencies, and complex medical conditions while providing compassionate, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced Level II Trauma Center environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care in the Emergency Department for adult and pediatric patients.
- Perform triage and rapid assessments, prioritizing patient needs in critical situations.
- Administer IV therapies, blood products, emergency medications, and continuous IV sedation/paralytics.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to manage acute and complex cases, including psychiatric holds, respiratory emergencies, and trauma injuries (gunshot wounds, burns, traumatic amputations, etc.).
- Monitor and interpret cardiac dysrhythmias and obtain 12‑lead EKGs.
- Respond to code situations, multisystem organ dysfunction, and STEMI or stroke alerts in compliance with hospital protocols.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic charting system.
- Ensure adherence to isolation precautions, infection control standards, and patient safety guidelines.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of ER RN experience (community hospital experience preferred).
- Licensure: Valid NY RN license (required).

Experience:
First‑time travelers accepted (locals excluded; 75‑mile radius rule applies). - Skills:
- Emergency care for abdominal pain, asthma, burns, epiglottitis, head injury, infections, seizures, and other pediatric/adult emergencies (preferred skills marked with asterisk).
- Management of acute psychosis, drug overdose, violent behavior, suicidal patients.
- IV therapy including central/arterial line care and starting IVs.
- Respiratory management including ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP, ABG interpretation, chest tube management*.
- Neurological and trauma care, including CVA, ICP monitoring*, spinal cord and neuro‑trauma injuries*.
- Orthopedic trauma, splinting*, and shock/trauma response.
- Facility Type: Acute Care Community Hospital and Level II Trauma Center.
- Charting System: Epic (required).
- Scrub Colors: Navy and white combination.

Compensation: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
