General Medicine/Surgical Unit – West 7
- Complex Care Unit. Specialize in Stroke, Cystic Fibrosis, and ETOH withdrawal. Primary general medical unit with multiple diagnoses and patient demographics. Patients include Pneumonia, COPD, alcohol withdrawal, and many other conditions.

Position Summary

Provides professional nursing services for patients and their families and/or for the nursing department. Collaborates with other health care providers and health care team members to achieve expected patient outcomes and improve the care environment. Nurses use the nursing process and evidence based practice to coordinate and provide direct care and services that support care.

Level II Registered Nurse (RN)

• Accountable for competent patient care based on established standards and the nursing process.
• Might assume expanded unit roles such as charge nurse or preceptor as assigned by the Nurse Manager.
• Supports peers in the delivery of patient care, uses appropriate team communication methods, and practices care that reflects the patient condition and priorities.
• Provides support to team problem solving, identifies opportunities for self‑growth and contributes to the development of other learners.
• Contributes to a safe unit environment and operations.

Pay Range
: $38.76 – $50.33

Job Requirements

• Minimum 6 months RN expertise in an acute care setting.
• BS in Nursing preferred.
• Licensed by New York State to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• Current CPR certification (American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare providers) upon hire.
