Registered Nurse - West 7 Quality and Flow Nurse Overview

The W7 Quality & Flow Nurse is to assist with admissions and discharges, and assist with other unit needs throughout the day with the focus on improving flow and quality of care.

Hours Options: 4- 10-hour shifts or 5-8
-hour shifts- times: 10am-6pm or 8am-6pm.

West 7 – General Medicine/Surgical.

Partnered with the UR Medicine Complex Care Center.

Providing specialized care for patients with Sickle Cell Disease, Cystic Fibrosis, and complex health conditions.

The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing services for patients and their families and/or for the nursing department.

Collaborates with other health care providers and health care team members to achieve expected patient outcomes and improve the care environment.

Nurses use the nursing process and evidence-based practice to coordinate and provide direct care and services that support care.

• Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, is accountable for provision of competent patient care based on established standards and the nursing process.
• May assume expanded unit roles as available and assigned by Nurse Manager as a charge nurse or preceptor.
• Supports peers in the delivery of patient care, uses appropriate team communication methods, and practices care that reflects the patient condition and priorities.
• Provides support to team problem solving.
• Identifies opportunities for self-growth and contributes to the development of other learners.
• Contributes to safe unit environment and operations.

PAY RANGE: $38.76 - $50.33

• Minimum 6 months RN expertise in an acute care setting.
• BS in Nursing preferred.
• Licensed by New York State to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• Current CPR certification (American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare providers preferred).
