Job DescriptionCoordinates clinical activities for nursing care and support to patients in the department through the complete phase of treatment. Assists and oversees smooth clinic flow while maintaining a safe environment. Assesses and oversees patient’s physical and emotional needs and takes appropriate intervention. Educates patients and families regarding side effects of radiation therapy and other departmental procedures. Exercises clinical judgment with regard to patient’s symptoms and side effects and reports to the Radiation Oncologist as needed.
Functions as a team player and participates in team meetings and activities.
$37.13-$48.28 an hour
Job RequirementsFulfill the requirements to be a licensed RN in NYS
Oncology experience preferred.
Required:
Current Registered Nurse license/current New York State Registration. Health Care Provider BLS CPR Certification required. For Highland site only: ACLS certified upon hire or to be obtained within 6 months of hire.
