Registered Nurse for Same Day Surgery Unit - Full-Time
Job DescriptionProvides professional nursing services for patients and their families, and contributes to the nursing department. Collaborates with other health care providers and team members to achieve patient outcomes and improve the care environment. Uses the nursing process and evidence-based practice to coordinate and provide direct care and services that support care.
Level II Registered Nurse (RN)Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, the Level II RN is accountable for competent patient care based on established standards and the nursing process. May assume expanded unit roles as a charge nurse or preceptor, support peers, and communicate effectively. Provides support in problem solving, identifies opportunities for self-growth, and contributes to a safe unit environment.
Job Requirements- Minimum 6 months RN experience in an acute care setting
- BS in Nursing preferred
- Licensed by New York State to practice as a Registered Nurse
- Current CPR certification (American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare providers preferred)
