Experienced RN II – East 7 Progressive Care Unit

Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in New York State, you will provide primary nursing care to patients in a progressive care setting at Highland Hospital of Rochester, NY. As a Level II RN, you will support the Nurse Manager and collaborate across the healthcare team to improve patient outcomes and the care environment.

Provides professional nursing services for patients and their families and/or for the nursing department. Collaborates with other health care providers and team members to achieve expected patient outcomes. Uses the nursing process and evidence‑based practice to coordinate and provide direct care and services that support the patient’s condition and priorities.

• Accountable for provision of competent patient care based on established standards and the nursing process.
• Assume expanded unit roles such as charge nurse or preceptor as assigned by the Nurse Manager.
• Support peers in delivery of patient care, use appropriate team communication methods, and practice care that reflects patient condition and priorities.
• Provide support to team problem‑solving and contribute to a safe unit environment and operations.
• Identify opportunities for self‑growth and contribute to the development of other learners.

• Minimum: $38.76 – Maximum: $50.33 per hour (within the established compensation range).

• Minimum 6 months RN experience in an acute care setting.
• BS in Nursing preferred.
• License to practice as a Registered Nurse in New York State.
• Current CPR certification (American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers preferred).
