Position: LVN / LPN
Job Summary:

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) provides nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, including data collection, order execution, and therapeutic procedures appropriate for the patient's age and condition, in accordance with established policies and procedures. The LPN/LVN must be able to manage their own patient assignment with RN support.

Responsibilities:

- Gather and report patient data.
- Carry out physician orders and nursing care plans.
- Perform therapeutic procedures on patients.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living.
- Monitor and document patient conditions and responses to treatments.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient needs are met.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.

Required Skills &

Certifications:

- Active LPN/LVN license in New York.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent hospital experience.
- Ability to take patient assignments.

Preferred Skills &

Certifications:

- Experience in emergency or critical care environments.
- Comfort level working with vents/trachs/PICC lines.
- Two years of experience in direct patient care.

Special Considerations:

- Must be able to work every other weekend.

Scheduling:
- 3x12 hour NIGHT shifts.
