Position: LVN / LPN
Job Summary:

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) provides nursing care as directed by a Registered Nurse. This includes gathering and reporting data, carrying out orders, and performing therapeutic procedures on patients in an age and population-appropriate manner, consistent with established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

- Gather and report patient data.
- Carry out physician orders.
- Perform therapeutic procedures on patients.
- Provide appropriate nursing care as directed by an RN.
- Document patient care and related duties appropriately.
- Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Maintain a clean and safe patient environment.

Required Skills &

Certifications:

- Current LPN/LVN license in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent hospital experience.
- Ability to take own patient assignment, with the support of an RN.

Preferred Skills &

Certifications:

- One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience.
- Experience in emergency or critical care environments.
- Experience working with vents/trachs/PICC lines.
- Two years of experience in direct patient care.

Special Considerations:

- Every other weekend requirement.

Scheduling:
- 3x12 hour shifts.
- Day/Night rotation.
