Position: LVN / LPN
Job Summary:

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) provides nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include data collection, implementing orders, and performing therapeutic procedures appropriate for the patient's age and condition, adhering to established policies and procedures.

Location:

Rochester, New York, United States

Responsibilities:

- Gather and report patient data.
- Implement physician orders and nursing care plans.
- Perform therapeutic procedures on patients.
- Provide appropriate nursing care as directed by an RN.
- Document patient care and related duties.
- Answer unit phone and directs calls accordingly.
- Perform selected patient registration activities.
- Coordinate equipment/supply needs. Notifies appropriate department of equipment malfunction.
- Performs any other related duties (e.g., clerical, technical duties) as assigned.

Required Skills &

Certifications:

- Current LVN/LPN license in the state of New York
- BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of recent hospital experience

Preferred Skills &

Certifications:

- Experience in emergency or critical care environments
- Experience working with vents/trachs/PICC lines

Special Considerations:

- Every other weekend requirement

Scheduling:
- 3x12 hour NIGHT shifts
