Position: LVN / LPN
Job Summary:

This role is for a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) who can independently manage patient assignments with RN support. The position requires at least two years of recent hospital experience and includes working every other weekend, with 3x12 night shifts.

Responsibilities:

- Provide appropriate nursing care as directed by an RN.
- Gather and report patient data.
- Carry out physician orders.
- Perform therapeutic procedures on patients.
- Document patient care and related duties appropriately.
- Answer unit phone and directs calls accordingly.
- Perform selected patient registration activities.
- Coordinate equipment/supply needs.
- Notify appropriate department of equipment malfunction.
- Perform any other related duties (e.g., clerical, technical duties) as assigned.

Required Skills &

Certifications:

- Active LVN/LPN license in New York.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of one year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience.

Preferred Skills &

Certifications:

- Prior experience in emergency or critical care environments.
- Comfort level working with vents/trachs/PICC lines.
- Two years of experience in direct patient care.

Special Considerations:

- Every other weekend requirement.

Scheduling:
- 3x12 night shifts.
