Licensed Vocational Nurse

Job Summary:

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) provides nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include data collection, implementing orders, and performing therapeutic procedures, ensuring care is appropriate for the patient's age and condition.

Responsibilities:

- Gather and report patient data.
- Implement physician orders.
- Perform therapeutic procedures.
- Provide appropriate nursing care as directed by an RN.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

Required Skills &

Certifications:

- Current LPN/LVN license in the state of New York
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of recent hospital experience

Preferred Skills &

Certifications:

- Prior experience in emergency or critical care environments

- Experience with vents/trachs/PICC lines
- Two years of experience in direct patient care

Special Considerations:

- Must be able to take own patient assignment, with RN support.
- Every other weekend requirement.
- 4x12 NIGHT shifts.
