Position: LVN / LPN
Job Summary:

This role is for a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) responsible for providing nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Key functions include gathering and reporting patient data, carrying out orders, and performing therapeutic procedures appropriate for the patient's age and condition, consistent with established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

- Gather and report patient data to the RN.
- Carry out prescribed medical orders.
- Perform therapeutic procedures on patients.
- Provide appropriate nursing care as directed by an RN.
- Document patient care and related duties appropriately.
- Take patient assignment with the support of an RN.

Required Skills &

Certifications:

- Current LVN/LPN licensure in the state of New York.
- BLS certification.
- Hospital experience within the last 2 years.

Preferred Skills &

Certifications:

- Experience in emergency or critical care environments.
- Comfort level working with vents/trachs/PICC lines.
- Two years of experience in direct patient care.

Special Considerations:

- Must be able to take own patient assignment, with RN support.

Scheduling:
- 3x12 NIGHT shifts.
- Every other weekend required.
