The West 5 Quality & Flow Nurse assists with admission and discharges and unit needs throughout the day, focusing on improving flow and quality of care. Hours options: 4‑hour shifts (noon‑10pm) or 5‑8‑hour shifts (3pm‑11pm). West 5 is a General Medicine unit specializing in CHF and related comorbidities, including COPD.

Provides professional nursing services for patients and their families and/or for the nursing department. Collaborates with other health care providers and team members to achieve expected patient outcomes and improve the care environment. Nurses use the nursing process and evidence‑based practice to coordinate and provide direct care and services that support care.

Accountable for expert patient care based on standards, with expanded responsibilities including staff orientation, patient care coordination, shift charge nurse, or other unit/service activities. Supports peers, demonstrates critical decision making, participates in educational activities, and supports a safe unit environment.

Minimum recent 2 years RN expertise in an acute care setting. BS in Nursing preferred. Licensed by New York State to practice as a Registered Nurse. Current CPR certification (American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare providers preferred).

Full‑Time. 40 hours/week. Evenings shift. Rochester, NY.
