RN III Operating Room RN (Part‑time or Full‑time) – Highland Hospital of Rochester, NY

Part‑time and full‑time opportunities are available with days, evenings, weekends, and overnight call schedules. The Highland Hospital OR is a state‑of‑the‑art facility known for orthopedics, bariatrics, gynecology, gynecological oncology, and breast cancer surgery. It houses two DaVinci surgical robots and advanced equipment. Over 80% of our nurses hold perioperative nursing certification. This role provides professional nursing services to patients and their families, collaborates with health‑care providers to achieve outcomes, and applies evidence‑based practice.

• Deliver advanced perioperative nursing care for patients with complex needs.
• Coordinate direct patient care and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Serve as unit or service shift charge nurse, orient staff, and support unit operations.
• Use evidence‑based practice and documented care plans to improve outcomes.
• Identify opportunities for self‑growth, mentor peers, and contribute to a safe unit environment.

• Minimum of 2 years RN experience in acute care.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in New York State.
• Current CPR certification (American Heart Association BLS for healthcare providers preferred).
• BS in Nursing preferred.

The Level III RN is accountable for expert patient care based on established standards, utilizing nursing processes including service to patients with complex needs. The Level III nurse may assume staff orientation, patient care coordination, shift charge duties, or expanded unit roles as assigned by the Nurse Manager. This nurse supports peer learning, models team communication, documents care reflecting patient priorities, and contributes to unit safety and efficiency.

$41.00 – $54.19 per hour (within compensation range).
