Role Description

Reporting to the Technical Director, this is a full-time on-site role located in Rochester, NY. The Quality and Food Safety Manager plays a critical role in supporting the quality team through ensuring compliance with FDA, USDA and SQF regulations. This position is responsible for overseeing the Hygiene and Lab teams and will also have responsibility for audit readiness.

Responsibilities of this role include:

• Maintaining Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) program.
• Assist in development and maintenance of Love Beets Food Safety Plan.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation and records related to food safety compliance.
• Support internal teams to resolve food safety concerns and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with and serve as a liaison between Quality and different teams at Love Beets to ensure that all products are meeting both safety and quality standards.
• Remain up to date on industry trends, emerging technologies and regulatory changes that may impact.
• Hiring, coaching and training new hires within the team.

Requirements for this role include:

• Bachelor's degree in agriculture or a science related field with quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, including oversight of a quality team.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Self motivated with the ability to finish assignments and projects by the designated deadline.
• Ability to hold self and team accountable.

Pay ranges from $78,000-$95,000 per year based on experience.
