This role is for someone who genuinely enjoys repetitive, hands‑on work and understands that successful cannabis cultivation is built on consistency, patience, and attention to small details—every single day.
If you’re looking for excitement, creativity, or variety hour to hour, this is probably not the job for you. If you take pride in routine, precision, and doing the same task correctly hundreds of times, you may be a great fit.
What You’ll Actually Be DoingMost of this job involves tedious, repetitive manual labor that must be done carefully and consistently:
- Trimming plants for extended periods of time (often hours at a time)
- Pruning, defoliating, and removing excess plant material with precision
- Transplanting clones and plants repeatedly according to strict procedures
- Watering and feeding plants on exact schedules
- Cleaning grow rooms, tools, trays, and equipment thoroughly and often
- Accurately labeling, tracking, and documenting plant movement and growth
- Following SOPs exactly—no shortcuts, no improvising
Many tasks are performed standing, bending, or sitting for long stretches and require sustained focus.
What This Job Is NotTo be very clear, this role is not:
- Glamorous
- Fast‑paced in an exciting way
- Creative or expressive
- Flexible in how tasks are completed
- Primarily about cannabis consumption or product knowledge
This is agricultural labor in a controlled indoor environment.
Ideal Candidate TraitsYou will do well in this role if you:
- Are comfortable doing the same task repeatedly without losing focus
- Have strong attention to detail and notice small inconsistencies
- Can follow instructions exactly as written, every time
- Are reliable, punctual, and consistent in your work habits
- Don’t need constant stimulation or variety to stay engaged
- Take quiet pride in producing high‑quality work that others may never see
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, and use hands for repetitive tasks for long periods
- Comfortable working in warm, humid grow environments
- Willingness to wear protective gear as required
- We will start with 25 hours a week, and will go to 40 once someone is trained and trusted. Currently, we are looking for someone three days a week from 9a-5p.
- This role requires showing up on time and maintaining consistency—plants do not wait.
Cultivation success depends on doing the small, boring things correctly every day. This role is essential to producing clean, compliant, high‑quality cannabis, even if the work itself feels repetitive.
