Position Overview
Manufacturing Technician D – 2nd shift (10‑hour days, 4 days a week). Controls and monitors units, boards, and modules, troubleshooting and ensuring units progress normally through the test process. Trains technicians to troubleshoot to component level and ensures required quality entries are made.
Essential Responsibilities- Ensures test stations are running at rate.
- Highlights technical issues to Engineering, Quality, and Test Engineering on issues affecting yield and test throughput.
- Works with rework expeditor to prevent units in rework aging more than one week.
- Responsible for performing functions associated with manufacturing operations, including work with engineers on set‑up and calibration, rework, and quality testing related to parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
- Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct online adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment.
- Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process.
- Works with engineers to conduct experiments.
- Provides training to lower level technicians on Falcon III products.
- Travels across the production floor for the duration of the shift (up to 12 hours).
- High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant electrical experience or 2 years post‑Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior electrical experience.
- Hands‑on experience and working knowledge of radio manufacturing (test and diagnostics including component, board, module, and radio level).
- Prior exposure to L3
Harris products.
