The Opportunity

CACI's Mastodon Design team in Rochester, NY is looking to hire a Production Assembly Technician
. We specialize in designing and building hardware and software to meet our customers’ next requirement. We focus on offering devices that can be fielded immediately to meet the mission needs that lie directly ahead. Size, weight, power, and packaging are of paramount importance in everything we design and build. Our expertise allows us to rapidly provide these solutions in specialized electronic/mechanical design, embedded & application-level software, reverse engineering & protocol analysis, and RF signals and communications systems.

U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of electro-mechanical assembly operations on mechanical assemblies, RF and Digital sub-assemblies, and end-products in a repetitive nature.
  • Follow an engineering assembly process that may require the ability to adjust, fit, or align parts.
  • Verify all material correctly aligns with engineering requirements for building production assemblies.
  • Follow test procedures and record detailed test data.
  • Use hand tools such as long nose pliers, screwdrivers, soldering irons, and wrenches.
  • Ensure that all tools and equip
  • Build custom radio designs from subassemblies to products per engineering specifications.
  • Work alongside operations team to manufacture custom radio products in support of customer deliveries.
  • Verify quality standards and identify problems to contribute process improvements.
  • Work as part of a team and collaborate to accomplish tasks.
Qualifications Required:
  • History of maintaining consistent quality and productivity levels.
  • Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, flexible production environment.
  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions and test procedures.
  • Ability to use your hands in a skillful, coordinated way to grasp and manipulate objects and demonstrate small, precise movements.
  • High School Diploma and 3 to 5 years of related experience is required, or equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience.
Desired:
  • Familiar with basic test equipment, i.e. signal generators and power meters
  • Strong verbal communication skills.

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is: $39,400-$71,800
